Tiler in Putney

We cover Putney for wall and floor tiling, from the streets near the High Street and the river down to Putney Heath, East Putney and the roads off Upper Richmond Road.

Putney is full of Victorian and Edwardian terraces, including the long runs of family houses in streets like the Westleigh Avenue area, plus mansion blocks along the river and around the High Street, and post-war and modern flats towards Putney Heath and Roehampton. Each type of home has its own priorities.

In period terraces, the original hallway is often the star of the house and a Victorian-style patterned or geometric floor suits it perfectly. Bathrooms in these houses are often being opened up or moved into lofts, and loft shower rooms need full tanking and neat setting out under the eaves. Mansion block flats tend to have compact bathrooms and kitchens where every cut is on show, and floors that need careful preparation to avoid problems for neighbours below.

For any of these, we start with preparation: sound walls, backer board where needed, waterproofing in showers, and flat, solid floors. Then we tile with precise cuts and tidy grout lines, and leave the site clean.
